Apple requires web apps on iOS Safari to be added to your Home Screen before Safari unlocks Web Push notifications.
In-app notification sounds and visual toasts will also alert you while inside Safari!
Apple Safari strictly requires a secure HTTPS connection or localhost for Service Workers & Push Notifications.
If accessing from your phone via local IP (e.g. http://192.168.x.x:8765), Safari blocks Web Push over unencrypted HTTP.
Tip: Use an HTTPS tunnel (e.g. ngrok http 8765 or Cloudflare Tunnel) to test native Web Push on iPhone.
